I don’t know why Google did it, but, it did it. May be to show that user data will be safe from hackers.. or to encourage the developers to hack their Google devices.. or even to show that the Google glass is grindable by blender.
So Google I/O is finally happening! All you need is a post that keeps you updated with what is happening and here it is - from the start to end!

Google finally announced that it is finally combining the storage of all its cloud and web services - Google Drive, Gmail, Google+, photos - to give an unified experience to the users. This is what was found in the official Gmail blog:

Recently, a friend of mine ended up having his camera SD card corrupted after he mistakenly unplugged it while transfering the files. That is until he plugged it back in and he got the dreaded Windows Prompt that goes something along the lines of “* Drive is corrupt or unformatted. Do you want to format this drive?” The SD card showed up as a drive but he could not longer access the month of pictures that he had on it.
